About Me

RandyWhen I was thirteen years old, I read a book about Newton and Galileo in the school library.  My new telescope had led me to question the universe around me, and Newton and Galileo were early discoverers of modern astronomical knowledge.  Their genius generated this early knowledge, but I was astounded that at age thirteen I could understand what these geniuses figured out 300 years ago.  Not that I'm a genius.  They did all the initial work from scratch, extracting from raw nature the rules which govern motion and gravity. Our modern world abounds with information and knowledge, discovered by geniuses, but made available to anyone with an active mind.  For the past 37 years I have independently studied philosophy, science, history, psychology, and sundry other odds and ends rounding out my understanding of modern philosophical reality.

Philosophy is a hobby for me, an avocation, but one that I am driven to pursue.  I have written an unpublished book summarizing some of my generalized philosophical speculations formed over the past 37 years, and I am converting some of my ideas into a series of essays.  I hope that this website will be a place for inquisitive people to share their interests in philosophy, science, history, and psychology--modern philosophical reality--as  well as speculate about human reality as our knowledge grows and human information processing changes rapidly in this modern information age.

Strive to understand reality, don't just blindly experience reality
